A paradise for alpine enthusiasts
Kvitfjell is not just the thrilling downhill run you see from the motorway. Here, you'll find wide and long slopes suitable for all levels. With its 34 kilometers of ski slopes spanning 854 meters of elevation, Kvitfjell offers peace, tranquility, and perfectly groomed trails as far as the eye can see. No need to worry about long lift lines.
A cross-country skiing paradise
Laftestølen is the perfect starting point for your cross-country ski journey. You can leave your car at the cabin – just glide straight out into the cross-country trails right outside your door.
Take the Varden lift to the top and gain access to an extensive network of cross-country trails with many options. From the top of Varden, it's just over 10 km to Skeikampen and 25 km to Gålå. You can also enjoy shorter trips to Skardbua and Fagerhøi. Beautifully groomed tracks are maintained throughout the season, with routes for all levels in the 600 km trail system. For children, there is a large ski play area just below Laftestølen, perfect for fun and activities.
Hiking in Peer Gynt's Kingdom
Many of the trails pass through high mountain terrain, offering views of Rondane and Huldreheimen, while others wind through forest landscapes. The area boasts rich and fascinating flora and fauna, along with many excellent fishing lakes. The approximately 90 km long Peer Gynt Trail runs through this beautiful mountain landscape, offering great opportunities to travel from place to place within Peer Gynt's Kingdom.
Famous for its great food
Kvitfjell is the place for food enthusiasts, offering a wide range of dining options, from complete gourmet meals to freshly baked cinnamon buns and a comforting cup of hot cocoa. With homemade quality food, the culinary experience is the main focus. That’s why we at Kvitfjell are proud to be a deep-fryer-free zone.
